It is already one of the favourite spots on Oranmore’s dining scene and has been recognised by several industry awards, including a recommendation in Georgina Campbell’s guide for the last three years and several TripAdvisor® Certificates of Excellence. Kamel and Justyna, the husband and wife team behind the business, are very excited to bring their winning formula of scrumptious food, bursting with freshness and seasoned with Mediterranean sunshine, combined with friendly and efficient service with a smile, to the City of Tribes.

O‘We have always been committed to quality and consistency’ – says the owner and head chef Kamel Ourdache. – ‘We showcase the best food sourced mainly in the West without overcomplicating the cooking! Fresh, unpretentious, wholesome food cooked from scratch to order using finest, locally sourced ingredients and simple Mediterranean seasoning.’

‘We also had great fun sampling wines to go with our menu’ – adds Justyna Kocjan, co-owner. – ‘The selection features very unusual and interesting wines from the Mediterranean region and we are committed to showcasing small wine makers who take pride in their wine-making techniques and final products.’

OThe new restaurant is located off Dominick Street, which is now the cornerstone of fine dining within the city centre, on the corner of Fairhill Road Upper and Father Burke Lane (next to Monroe’s). The Galway premises are initially open from Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner service.

Approved by Georgina Campbell’s Ireland https://pearlanamara.ie/recommendation-by-georgina-campbells-ireland/ https://pearlanamara.ie/recommendation-by-georgina-campbells-ireland/#comments Sat, 26 Jan 2013 15:34:37 +0000 http://copy.cro.ma/bistro/?p=332 In 2013, we were overwhelmed and delighted to find out that our restaurant had been approved for recommendation by Georgina Campbell’s Ireland, features on their website and an entry was also featured in the published guide. A real milestone for Péarla.

Georgina Campbell’s Ireland

There’s an air of care about Justina Kocjan and Kamel Ourdache’s town centre restaurant. The interior is modern, in muted tones with tiled floors and plain dark furniture and they offer varying menus throughout the day, always with Kamel’s cooking bringing a little Mediterranean sunshine to Irish ingredients.

The couple have built a local reputation for good value and it is well earned, as they are dedicated to achieving high standards at reasonable prices all day from breakfast to dinner. Justina is a natural host, gracing front-of-house with much charm, and Kamel is a good chef, cooking with serious intent.

Daytime meals are quite casual and in the evening they offer a range of appealing pasta dishes and staples such as rack of lamb and duck breast, along with fish of the day. Their own in-house-filtered bottled water, still and sparkling, is available without restriction on quantity for €1 per table. Also, in addition to the wine list, Bring Your Own is an option at the very reasonable corkage charge of €5.

The long opening hours make this a very useful place to know about when visiting the Oranmore area and, if street parking should be a problem, there is free underground parking available for customers.

Children are very welcome – there’s a kids’ menu for only €5, prepared from fresh ingredients and including a drink – and takeaway is also available.
